§ 14-11. Costs of elections.

  • The town shall be responsible for all costs associated with the conduct of its municipal elections, including, but not being limited to, the costs of voter or poll lists, the costs of publication of legal advertisements and notices, the printing of ballots, postage associated with any absentee ballots, and the payment of poll workers. In addition to the normal pay due to poll workers, the town shall be responsible for an additional $10.00 for each poll worker assigned to the polls by the Greenwood County election commission. The commission may require a deposit by the town to cover the anticipated costs of election, but in any event, bills shall be paid by the town within 30 days of the date that such bills are rendered.
