§ 28-1. Interfering with officers or employees; resisting arrest.

  • (a)

    It is unlawful for any person to resist or interfere with any member of the police department, any member of the fire department or any other town officer or employee in the discharge of his lawful duties.

    (b)

    Any person who shall resist or obstruct any officer of the town in the discharge of his duty, or who shall aid or abet any person in resisting or obstructing any officer of the town in the discharge of his duty, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, subject to the limitations prescribed by the S.C. Code 1976, § 16-5-50.
