§ 2-47. Council meetings.

  • (a)

    The regular meeting of the council shall be held at the town hall on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m., unless some other hour is fixed.

    (b)

    Special meetings of the council may be called by the mayor in case of emergency, or when, in his judgment, the good of the town requires it, or when requested in writing or verbally by at least four members of the council. Notice of a special meeting shall be given immediately to all available members and the news media by the clerk-treasurer.

    (c)

    The council may hold executive sessions and closed meetings in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act.
