§ 2-176. Financial interest of town officials and employees prohibited.

No member of the council nor any officer or employee of the town shall have a financial interest in any contract or sale to the town or to any contractor supplying the town rights or interests in any land, material, supplies or services, except as specifically permitted by state law.
