§ 2-118. Books of account, reports and audits.

The town clerk-treasurer shall balance his books each month and render an account of the same to the council at the next following council meeting, and shall submit the town books to a certified public accountant chosen by the town council for an annual audit. He shall deposit all monies, checks and cash over $500.00 in the night depository at the close of business each day.
