§ 2-119. Town attorney; compensation.

  • A town attorney shall be elected by each council. He shall serve as legal advisor for the town and shall be present at such council meetings as deemed desirable by the council. He shall receive an annual retainer fee or compensated a reasonable amount pursuant to agreement, and to be approved by council in advance. Special services or those requiring an unusual amount of service or effort shall be compensated at a reasonable amount as determined in advance.
